Job Title: Cath Lab Technician Profession: Cath Lab Technician Specialty: Cath Lab Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: - BLS Provider - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiologic Technologist issued by Illinois Emergency Management Agency required in combination with ARRT Certifications: - Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred Must-Have: - High School diploma equivalency with 1-2 years of cumulative experience or - Associate's degree/Technical degree or - 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required Description: Shift requirements are from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM. Weekend availability is required. Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Prepare and position patients. Select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice. Observe patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures. Assist the Radiologist/PA during procedures. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. All clinicians are required to take on-call shifts, approximately 16-18 days on-call every 6 weeks.aa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
