CMA is hiring an Engineering Intern, based in our Cary, NC office, for our Transportation Department as part of the firm's paid internship program. This internship will support the transportation water resources group with Aviation and NCDOT transportation tasks including completing technical reports, drainage design, hydraulic modeling, stormwater treatment and permitting, erosion control design, and utility plans, among others. Candidates should be excited about their studies and want to come with an open mind to learn and grow. CMA takes pride in offering internships in the summer or throughout the year when a university is located near one of its regional offices, as appropriate. Many CMA interns come back to work full time for CMA or flourish throughout the A/E/C market as part of the CMA Family. CMA hopes to create a collaboration where students get a perspective in their professional growth within our areas of expertise, while providing CMA perspective on the next generation of professionals in the industry. Responsibilities

Work on challenging projects that require collaboration within and among various departments. Contribute to team projects and individual tasks assigned in the discipline you support. Prepare project design drawings within Bentley Open Roads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D. Develop project specific detail drawings. Calculate project construction quantity estimates. Assist with technical specifications, cost estimates, reports, schedules, and other related tasks. Learn and adhere to client-specific standards. Coordinate with team members and client representatives. Periodic travel to project sites for field investigation and/or construction support. Qualifications

On track for completing a bachelor's in engineering. Knowledge of FAA and/or NCDOT standards is a plus. Experience with Bentley ORD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Excel. Ability to quickly learn and apply complex systems. Our Benefits
