IT Support Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled IT Support Technician to join our client's PC Build Team. This role focuses on deploying, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop systems for new hires, transfers, and special projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PC imaging, software installation, and hardware upgrades, and will thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: Execute and troubleshoot the build process for laptops and desktops. Deploy new hardware to end-users, ensuring proper configuration and user satisfaction. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess equipment needs for new and existing users. Coordinate with system administrators to set up user credentials and access to corporate applications and network resources. Communicate with remote users to verify login setup and retrieve necessary files. Perform hardware upgrades including memory and hard drive installations. Physically handle and transport IT equipment including desktops, laptops, monitors, and printers. Complete assigned service tickets promptly and accurately. Build and configure systems for new hires, transfers, and special requests. Maintain accurate records in Remedy/Asset Center for ticket progress and asset tracking. Report build issues to the Build Team Lead and contribute to process documentation. Required Skills: Proficiency in imaging PCs and laptops. Experience with software installation on physical and virtual machines. Familiarity with deploying desktop equipment (PCs, laptops, monitors, thin clients, desk phones). Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Ability to lift and move IT equipment safely. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
