Position Summary:

MCPC is seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting and maintaining core IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in Windows Server environments, virtualization, and network device management. The selected candidate will initially join on a contract basis, with the potential to transition to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain Windows Server infrastructure (2016/2019/2022).

Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and basic DNS/DHCP configurations.

Assist in the administration of VMware vSphere environments, including VM provisioning and performance monitoring.

Monitor and maintain Cisco Meraki network devices (firewalls, switches, access points).

Provide Tier 2 support for system and network-related issues.

Perform routine patching, updates, and backups.

Document system changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

Collaborate with management on infrastructure projects and upgrades.

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2–4 years of experience in Windows Server administration.

Working knowledge of VMware vSphere/ESXi.

Familiarity with Cisco Meraki dashboard and hardware.

Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, VLANs, firewalls).

Experience with PowerShell or other scripting tools is a plus.

Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or VMware VCP are a plus but not required.

Compensation Compensation: 80-90K
