Overview

IT Cyber Security Specialist Battery Manufacturing at BlueOval SK. The role supports protecting information assets and sensitive data as part of a joint venture between Ford and SK On in the BlueOval SK Battery Park (Kentucky) and BlueOval City (Tennessee). Responsibilities Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems. Defines access privileges, control structures, and resources to protect systems. Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations. Implements security improvements by assessing current situations, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements. Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits. Upgrades systems by implementing and maintaining security controls. Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports and communicating system status. Maintains quality service by following organizational standards. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Security systems operation/management and troubleshooting. Test and install security IT systems; maintain security IT systems. Apply basic knowledge of cyber security and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, etc.). Proficiency with Windows and Linux command-line skills.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field. 3+ years direct hands-on experience with incident management and response. Proficiency in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and penetration testing methodologies. Advanced certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP or CASP and/or SIEM-specific training and certification. Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and security elements. Hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs and network data in support of incident investigations. Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions. Proficiency with security technologies (Anti-Virus, HIPS, ID/PS, FPC, Forensics, RSA, etc.). In-depth knowledge of at least one enterprise SIEM platform (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar, Nitro, McAfee ESM). Experience developing and deploying signatures (e.g., YARA, Snort, Suricata, HIPS). Understanding of mobile technology and OS environments, VMware, Unix and basic Unix commands. Experience in IT security solution operations and IT network operations. Experience operating endpoint security solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or cybersecurity-related field. Masters degree in cybersecurity or related field is a plus. Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, ISO 27001. Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, threat landscape, and security solutions.
