Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: California license required Certifications: BCLS, ARRT, Fluoroscopy Permit Must-Have: - Experience with left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, pacemakers, AICD's, and micras. - Ability to implant IABP and Impella devices on occasion. Description: The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for assisting in diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. The daily caseload varies, with an average of four cases per day. Weekend call responsibilities are required. First-timers are welcome to apply. Call requirements include being available for two weekdays. The tech must be willing to float between hospitals as needed. Patient age groups primarily include adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support services include respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy. This position may involve managing patients with conditions such as CAD and CHF. Special procedures and equipment include PCI, ICD generator changes, and Impella devices. The environment is fast-paced, and the ability to work well with a team is crucial.
