Construction Director - Preconstruction & Estimating

Were conducting a national search for a Director of Preconstruction & Estimating to lead strategy, people, and process across complex commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects. YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Command the preconstruction process for a $300M+ annual pipeline of complex projects, most Design-Build and CMAR Lead, mentor, and scale estimating & preconstruction teams across multiple project types. Develop systems and processes that raise the bar in estimating accuracy, risk analysis, and cost certainty. Partner with executives, business development, and clients to secure and deliver winning proposals. Drive KPIs around win rate, margin capture, estimate-to-final cost variance, and speed to market. Oversee RFP responses, constructability reviews, subcontractor pricing strategy, and early budgeting. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? 10+ years in preconstruction & estimating leadership for commercial/institutional projects. Proven success on projects ($20M$150M+)healthcare, education, high-rise, mixed-use, or institutional. Strong technology integration skills Financial acumen, forecasting, risk modeling, and presenting cost strategy at the executive level. Track record of building high-performance precon/estimating teams and scaling across regions.
