nJob Description Summary:
nResponsibilities And Duties:
nFacilitates efficient and effective patient flow including preparing the patient for the visit and providing specific services as determined by providers in accordance with provider licensure, OH policy and scope of practice.
nSuccessful completion of Care Connect EMR documentation skills.
nPerforms necessary administrative duties that assure all information is current and updated. Includes maintenance and monitoring of EMR in basket.
nMaintains and cleans environment, work area, equipment, and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate dept/unit personnel.
nCommunicates with patients and customers in a respectful and caring manner.
nCommunicates, collaborates, and anticipates the needs of the health care team to ensure continuity and quality of care and coordination of services.
nCollects and monitors patient data; reports patient data and patient need as directed.
nMaintains documentation guidelines around patient chargeable items/services.
nEnsures processes and services are continuously monitored for quality, cost effectiveness, and efficiency.
nEngages in process and quality improvement activities. Makes and implements recommendations to improve operational efficiency and to implement new services for areas of responsibility.
nEngages in continuous study of the entire professional field, including best practices, to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
nCompletes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.
nPromotes and advocates for patient quality, safety, and experience initiatives. Acts as a role model.
nServes as SME/resource to the dept/unit/practice in areas such as quality, performance improvement, and EMR (i.e., EPIC Super User).
nHas oversight of efficient and effective patient flow including preparing the patient for the visit/admission and providing specific services and education as determined by the providers in accordance with licensure and policy.
nLeads and supports development of standard work and develops necessary customizations.
nFunctions as a clinical preceptor and is responsible for training new staff.
nIs compliant with scope of practice.
nMinimum Qualifications:
nHigh School or GED (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, CCMA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - National Healthcareer Association
