We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our busy hospital lab setting. The role involves obtaining blood specimens and collecting non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing. The Phlebotomist will perform screening tests, report results, and prepare specimens for both in-house and reference laboratory testing.

Responsibilities
- Obtain blood specimens using venipuncture techniques.
- Collect non-blood specimens including urine, sputum, and throat swabs.
- Perform screening tests and accurately report results.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and dispatch.
- Ensure proper handling and processing of all specimens.
Essential Skills
- Experience in phlebotomy, blood draw, and venipuncture.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience or clinical training.
- Newly certified candidates must have clinical rotations or hospital experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to handle an average of 50 blood draws during day shifts, 35 in the evening, and 25-30 during night shifts.
- Experience with arterial blood gases (ABGs) and rapid response situations.
Work Environment
This position is located in a busy hospital lab setting with a structured day schedule from 4 AM to 12:30 PM, including every other weekend off with a consistent schedule. The role includes responding to codes and working with predominantly adult patients, with very few pediatric cases.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
