- Designing test strategies, creating test scripts, and executing them to validate the ETL process
- Ensuring data is accurately extracted, transformed according to business rules, and loaded into target systems
- Pinpointing discrepancies and inconsistencies in the data and reporting them for resolution.
- Working closely with ETL developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure the ETL system meets requirements.
- Analyzing test results, identifying areas for improvement, and providing detailed reports to stakeholders.
- Automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and consistency in testing.
- Following industry standards and best practices for data quality assurance.
- Responsible for executing the QA Testing
- Create Test Plan , Test Strategy and Test Summary documents
- Prepare traceability matrix Skill Set :
- Strong SQL skills: Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
- Knowledge of ETL tools: Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
- Data warehousing concepts: Understanding of data warehousing concepts, star schemas, and snowflake schemas.
- Data analysis skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and interpret data patterns. Tools : Jira, Confluence
