Data Analyst Job at Insurance Placement Solutions in Farmington Hills

Insurance Placement Solutions has an immediate opening for a Data Analyst with our client in Farmington Hills, Michigan. As a key member of the Service Department, you will use your advanced Microsoft Office skills—particularly in Excel and Access—to support legal and operational reporting needs. This role involves pulling and manipulating data, creating reports and dashboards, and optimizing tools to support internal decision-making.

Data Analyst Responsibilities

• Extract, manipulate, and analyze data using advanced Microsoft Excel features, including pivot tables, complex formulas, Power Query, and VBA
• Design and maintain Microsoft Access databases and reports
• Generate and automate data-driven reports and dashboards to support legal and service functions
• Integrate data across Microsoft Office applications for consistent and accurate reporting
• Collaborate with legal and service teams to deliver timely and actionable insights
• Assist in document preparation, filing, and other administrative legal support tasks as needed

Experience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and Access
• Prior experience working as a legal secretary, paralegal, or in a legal operations/data support role
• Strong background in reporting, data management, and document preparation
• Familiarity with Guidewire or similar systems is a plus

Education

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required

Schedule & Work Environment

• Contract role through the end of the year, with potential to extend
• Hybrid work schedule: 2 days onsite per week in Farmington Hills, Michigan
