Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Data Analyst with specialized expertise in Oil & Gas Operations and Engineering to join the Big Data and Advanced Analytics department. The Operations Data Analyst will work closely with Operators and Engineers to capture data and analytic requirements and implement data management solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep industry knowledge with data analysis experience to ensure data quality and accessibility that drive business insights and decision-making.

Job Description

  • Create and maintain data documentation and metadata
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys with business users to identify, collect, and map data elements
  • Integrate data between systems
Skills Required
  • Analyze existing operational and engineering workflows including production and maintenance processes and troubleshooting activities such as root-cause analysis
  • Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in decision making due to missing and/or inaccurate data
  • Define data requirements and reporting specifications for operational intelligence platforms
  • Analyze integration requirements between operational systems
  • Define and implement data quality rules, automated validation procedures, and cross-reference management solutions
  • Create and maintain data dictionaries and business glossaries for the Operations and Engineering domain
  • Define and implement data visualizations that delivers seamless access to relevant information
Education/Training/Certifications
  • A minimum of a High School degree or GED
