Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description
The scraper operator will be responsible for cutting to grade by driving across the top of the earth and scraping it into the holding bowl for removal or relocation. The operator will work in the CUT, managing fill to level the terrain for the finish dozer hands to fine grade to completion.
Responsibilities
- Operate MTS 3630 wheeled or track scrapers, MTS 745 with pan CAT 627 or CAT 637 for rough grading work.
- Conduct pre-inspection and end-of-day inspection of machines and report any concerns to management.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience operating scrapers on a commercial job site involving mass grading.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as scrapers and haul trucks.
- Knowledge of grading, earthwork, and earthmoving.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including 10-12+ hour days from Monday to Saturday.
- Ability to operate company vehicles for travel to various job sites.

Work Environment
The work will take place on a civil construction site in open farmland in Lebanon, IN, subject to all weather conditions. High safety standards must be followed per OSHA regulations. Expect a high degree of activity where communication and awareness of surroundings are critical.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
