Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The PT Trainer, Upward Bound provides training to high school students for the Upward Bound program. This is a temporary, grant-funded position. Continuation of the position from one academic year to the next is dependent upon continued grant funding.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Provides training to high school students for Upward Bound program to prepare students for the upcoming academic year
2. Develops training materials for assigned areas
3. Takes attendance; maintains records of assignments and grades for all students
4. Creates an interactive learning environment
5. Provides training for standardized testing
6. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of the Upward Bound Program or TRIO programs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Working knowledge of the Internet, knowledge of common office software including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Good organizational skills

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's degree or higher and at least 1 year of experience in secondary education or field of expertise

Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $27.14
