Location: Cleveland, OH | Hybrid after training
Pay Rate: $38/hour
Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:30 am -5:00 pm
Length: Contract-to-Hire

A well-respected nonprofit organization in Northeast Ohio is seeking an Accounting Manager. This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Accountant ready to step up into management-level responsibilities. The Accounting Manager will oversee and ensure accuracy across payroll, grants, and core accounting functions.
Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
• 5+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit strongly preferred
• ERP systems + advanced Excel skills
• Payroll processing, including grant salary allocations and reporting
• Oversee grant billing, month-end close, GL, and financial reporting

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll, including grant salary allocations and reporting
• Oversee grant billing, month-end close, GL, and financial reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
• 5+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit strongly preferred
• ERP systems + advanced Excel skills
• Experience with payroll, grant billing, month-end close, and reporting
