Job Title: Account Manager (CPA candidate)
Location: Corona Del Mar, CA (Fully On-Site)
Pay Range: $140,000 - 160,000
Employment Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations within multiple entities while maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities. This role involves managing journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, payroll, and compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate combines technical accounting expertise with strong analytical skills and knowledge of regulatory standards to ensure the integrity of the organization's financial data.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting functions for multiple entities, including AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance.
Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adherence to accounting standards.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
File and remit quarterly and annual sales tax returns accurately and on time.
Maintain general ledger accuracy by ensuring timely recording of financial transactions.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts to verify accuracy and completeness.
Process AP/AR transactions, ensuring accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining supporting documentation.
Support preparation of tax returns and compliance filings, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Conduct financial analysis to support management decision-making and reporting requirements.
Partner with internal and external auditors, providing documentation and detailed explanations as needed.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and evolving regulations.
Manage payroll processing in Workday, including quarterly and annual W2 responsibilities.
Provide cross-functional coverage by supporting or backing up accounting team members when needed.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
CPA designation required.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with emphasis on financial reporting and analysis.
Demonstrated experience with payroll processing, including quarterly filings and W2 preparation.
