Corporate Positions is hiring: Accounting Manager in Atlanta

Paradies-Lagardere is recruiting an Accounting Manager to join our Accounting Center of Excellence. This role will report to the Director of Accounting and will provide leadership and direction over all Retail inventory and cost of good, IT expenses and CAPX and General Accounting responsibilities.

This position will work to ensure that all retail inventory transactions are recorded appropriately including cost of goods sold, on hands and shrink as well as tracking the expense and CAPX for IT to support that team utilizing dashboards. Continually review processes for streamlining and efficiencies including Blackline processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review month-end journal entries and reconciliations (inventory transactions and reclasses, IT expenses and CAPX as well as other accounts)
• Deliver overview of monthly P&L results for Retail COGS, Shrink, MOS as well as IT expenses
• Participate in the month-end and year-end financial statement consolidation process along with submission to parent company
• Oversee Senior and Staff Accountants with the responsibility to ensure retail inventory transactions are recorded correctly
• Ensure the correct recordation of IT expenses and CAPX along with ensuring Senior and Staff Accountants are supporting IT leadership
• Interface with external auditors and Lagardere Travel Retail Group’s Consolidation Team around all topics Retail inventory including the coordination of physical counts
• Plan for, Manage and Coordinate with, outside auditors to ensure timely submission of audit requests
• Ad hoc project completion and continuous process improvements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:

• Required: BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA preferred
• Required: 5+ years public or private accounting experience
• High Proficiency in excel, project management, leadership, team building and critical thinking
• Knowledge in SAP Accounting Software, S4/Hana beneficial
