About the Role:
The Accounting Manager is a mid-level leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing leadership to a team of accounting professionals. Acting as a bridge between staff accountants and senior finance leadership (Controller, CFO), this role will drive accuracy, efficiency, and process improvement while supporting the rapid growth of our organization.
What You'll Be Contributing:
Team Leadership
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, and AP/AR specialists.
Oversee workload distribution, performance reviews, and training.
Month-End and Year-End Close
Ensure timely and accurate closing of monthly, quarterly, and year-end books.
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statements.
Financial Reporting
Produce accurate internal and external financial reports.
Ensure compliance with GAAP (or IFRS), company policies, and audit standards.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Maintain, test, and enhance internal controls.
Ensure compliance with audits, tax regulations, and corporate governance standards.
Audit Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Process Improvement & Systems
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting functions.
Support system implementations and upgrades (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with FP&A, operations, HR, and other business units on finance-related matters.
Provide accounting insight to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
Skills & Qualifications
Education & Credentials
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Experience
5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
Prior public accounting experience (Big 4 or mid-tier) valued.
Demonstrated success in team leadership and process improvement.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks).
Advanced Excel and strong data analysis/reporting capabilities.
Familiarity with financial reporting tools and internal controls frameworks.
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and people management abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven and fast-growth environment.
