The right candidate for this position is someone with extensive experience in Safety who will support our projects. This person will constantly be responsible for successfully integrating safety initiatives into the functional operation of the different projects by maintaining processes and procedures to prevent injuries and violations of the law or company policies and minimize the environmental impact of our operations.

About the role

Are you a hands-on accounting leader with a passion for precision, process improvement, and team development? We're looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our growing finance team and play a key role in driving operational excellence and financial integrity. Under the general direction of the Senior Financial Controller, the Accounting Manager will maintain financial and business transactions, applying accounting principles, which include work that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature and that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice and the use of judgment.

What you'll do

  • Performing, managing, training, and supervising team members in internal controls related to Financial Reporting, Month End close, Labor Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Project Accounting and Invoicing, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Tax Compliance.
  • Perform and manage all aspects of the general ledger including analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries including performing and managing all balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Manage All company bank accounts, including the bank reconciliation, weekly cash flow, and payment (ACH and Checks)
  • Perform, review, and oversee the preparation of Payroll Taxes, State Sales Taxes by State, and other state reporting as required.
  • Verify the accuracy of all job costs as well as the reconciliation of all sub-ledgers to the general ledger (A/P, A/R, cash management, inventory, equipment, payroll, WIP)
  • Execute and manage the internal Month End close/financial reporting process to facilitate straightforward year-end preparation by the external CPA firm.
  • Develop actionable insights from technical and financial data, working to minimize risk and identify growth Cash flow management including forecasting cash flow needs.
  • Monitor and develop internal controls to minimize financial risk and identify areas of opportunity to better safeguard assets.
  • Prepare and monitor appropriate debt schedules as required.
  • Supervise and build a strong accounting and office team to fit the needs of our growing company.
  • Develop accounting policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Manage and perform other duties consistent with the roll of an accounting professional.
  • Assist the Sr. Controller with all Audit requests on an annual basis.

  • Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with 5 or more years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller for a mid-sized company that provides services and manufactures products.
  • Public accounting experience is preferred.
  • Experience with ViewPoint and/or other ERP systems.
  • High level of accuracy, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of business principles with strong organizational skills.
  • Honesty, integrity, confidentiality.
  • High level of professional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong managerial skills and team player.
  • Professional presence and attitude.
  • Texas Driver's License preferred.

The pay range for this role is:

115,000 - 125,000 USD per year (Corporate Office )
