Position Announcement
At Utah Valley University's Noorda Center for the Performing Arts, the Production/Hospitality Assistant plays an integral role in creating seamless and memorable experiences for artists, guests, and audiences. This position supports the successful execution of a wide range of performances and events by coordinating logistics, managing event documentation, and ensuring accurate budget tracking.
The Assistant also provides essential hospitality support for guest artists, including travel arrangements, accommodations, and on-site needs, helping ensure a professional and welcoming environment. This is a dynamic opportunity to be part of a collaborative team that values creativity, attention to detail, and excellence in supporting both the artistic process and the audience experience.
Summary of Responsibilities
High school diploma or GED plus six months to one year of related experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Arts Administration, or a related field. Previous experience in event planning, production, or hospitality, preferably within a performing arts or educational setting. Familiarity with managing event logistics and coordinating with guest artists is highly desirable.

- Scheduling Support: Assist in booking rehearsal, performance, workshop, and exhibition spaces, ensuring adequate time is allocated for all production processes.
- Event Management Software: Help administer and oversee the use of live, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with UVU's scheduling policies.
- Budget Tracking: Assist in tracking and managing budgets and finances for events, including creating estimate and settlement sheets.
- Guest Artist Coordination: Coordinate hospitality requirements for guest artists, including travel, accommodations, and on-site support.
- Usage and Rental Coordination: Support tracking of rental requests and communicate with clients regarding availability and compliance with usage agreements.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Events and Production Supervisor.

- Part-time: waives 100 percent of tuition and general student fees for up to 3 credit hours or 1 course after 6 consecutive months of employment and a minimum of 480 hours worked (dependents do not qualify)
