Overview
Position: Sports Leagues Coordinator
Organization: Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley
Reports to: Unit Director
Location: Fountain Valley, CA and Huntington Beach, CA
Available: Immediately
Hourly Wage: $18.00 - $20.00/hour. Part time 20-25 hours/week
Shift: Monday – Friday 4:30PM-8:45PM and Saturday 8:30-12:30PM
Status: Part-time League Coordinator under the supervision of the Athletic Director.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and serve as a positive role model for kids, parents, and community members.
- Create a fun, safe environment with structure and clear limits to support character and skill development and positive peer relationships.
- Maintain and organize all athletic equipment at each service site; set up and take down the indoor soccer arena safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all programs are safe and reflect positive guidelines.
- During cleanup, store supplies and equipment in designated areas.
- Communicate professionally—avoid negative language toward members, parents, or community members.
- Coordinate with Program Directors and Unit Directors as needed for support.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate and at least 18 years old.
- Knowledge in sports preferred; primarily basketball and/or soccer.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
- Availability to work weekends, nights, and additional hours for agency projects and special events.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with a positive attitude.
