The Department of Kinesiology in Jacksonville State University’s College of Health Professions and Wellness invites applications for two Assistant Professor positions within the Sports Industry program.
The Sports Industry Assistant Professors provide educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening; teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in Kinesiology, and may be required to teach courses within their concentration area on campus, off-campus, online courses and possible videoconferencing depending on need of location.

Position Requirements
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching at the university level.
- Evidence of a promising research agenda and scholarly publications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse academic environment.
Preference may be given to those who possess the following:
- Experience with COSMA (Commission on Sport Management Accreditation) processes and standards
- Industry experience in sport management or related fields
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas: sport marketing, sport communication, sport finance, sport law, sport management, or sport analytics
- Experience with online and hybrid course delivery
- Record of successful grant writing or external funding acquisition
