What you will be doing
You’ll be responsible for treating and preventing minor injuries and illnesses and ensuring medical clinical care is provided to students. You will provide information and guidance for the promotion of good health and well-being of students.
Essential Functions
- Provide nursing care to students as authorized by the medical provider and within the scope of state nurse practice acts
- Provide supervision to LPNs/LVNs to ensure compliance with state regulations and the nurse practice act for practical and vocational nurses
- Provide basic health care to students as required by DOL, including entry requirements and immunizations
- Monitor students with illness who are unable to attend class
Education and Experience Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment
- Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity is preferred
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
