DESCRIPTION

The Retail Manager is responsible for effectively managing and training Retail Coverage Merchandisers (RCM) in an assigned geography. Retail Managers will deliver strategic direction and vision on a day-to-day basis to RCMs to maximize sales opportunities for our clients. The Retail Manager will utilize Acosta’s systems and tools to maximize efficiency in scheduling and managing the retail selling team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and train a team of RCMs to deliver on new item execution, shelving, merchandising, and sales objectives.

  • Drive performance by identifying best practices and in-store selling opportunities that support client growth.

  • Audit and coach team members to ensure quality execution and continuous improvement.

  • Build strong retailer relationships through consistent communication and leadership by example.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Retail Directors, Team Leaders, General Managers, and Business Managers to deliver key initiatives.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on retail systems and tools, leveraging Acosta University and other platforms to train associates.

  • Develop and present selling materials for retail meetings to align teams with strategic goals.

  • Conduct bi-quarterly evaluations to support ongoing development of the retail selling team.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures, including timely reporting of workplace injuries.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to a dynamic and results-driven retail environment.

  • Ability to interact with executive leadership & influence others which includes both Acosta and client

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations and respond effectively to questions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building rapport across teams and with retail partners.

Technical Proficiency

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Demonstrated experience using retail systems and tools to drive efficiency and execution.

  • Familiarity with Acosta University or similar platforms for training and development.

Operational Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment with occasional travel.

  • Commitment to upholding company policies and safety standards.
