Hales Sand and Gravel is seeking a skilled Water Truck Driver to deliver water to dirt crews, paving crews, and pit areas for dust control and grade work.

Position Overview

This position involves the safe and efficient operation of water trucks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Keep time and material records.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of different types of materials and grades being sprayed.
  • Ability to maneuver and back equipment.
  • Communicate effectively on the radio system.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a valid state commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A with Tanker endorsement.
  • Must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.

Work Requirements

  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Incident-free driving record preferred.
  • May be subject to drug, alcohol, physical agilities testing.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Ability to communicate using two-way radio.
  • Basic math.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
