Job Description

Must have:

• US Accounting Degree
• US GAAP
• Accounting month-end close cycle experience
• Booking journal entries and Balance Sheet (B.S.) reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail

I. Job Summary

Applies moderately complex principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports, and coordinates the implementation of accounting control.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares moderately complex journal entries for entry into the general ledger system on a monthly basis by collecting necessary data, analyzing and/or allocating costs, and preparing audit train support.
• Analyzes general ledger accounts and accrual accounts to ensure proper accruals.
• Collects and analyzes financial data, prepares financial statements and reports, and coordinates preparation of the monthly financial package.
• Participates in monthly financial meetings to review reports.
• Provides guidance to Finance personnel for proper internal and external financial accounting procedures.
• Produces moderately complex financial reports and completes analytical projects as required.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory duties.

IV. Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (accredited)
• 3+ years relevant work experience

Other Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required

• Intermediate accounting knowledge
• Accounts payable / accounts receivable knowledge
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and taxes
