Sensei Enterprises, Inc. is a growing IT managed service provider (MSP) looking for a full-time, talented, and customer-oriented senior IT consultant with varied networking and administration experience who can hit the ground running.
A Senior IT consultant will assist with the support of small to medium-sized businesses throughout the DC metro area, as well as support clients subscribing to our cloud-based services. The typical day can be very fast-paced, challenging, and never the same.
Applicants should have the knowledge and skills to administer multiple network environments. Excellent customer service and strong communication skills are essential. We’re looking to fill this position immediately. This position requires current IT certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for client environments (remote and onsite).
- Manage and maintain Windows Server (2019/2022), Windows 10/11, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain networking environments (LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
- Administer and support virtualization and cloud platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure).
- Manage and monitor backup solutions (on-premises and cloud), ensuring data integrity and recovery readiness.
- Lead escalations, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Apply and enforce cybersecurity best practices across endpoints, servers, and networks.
- Document technical processes, solutions, and system configurations.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians.
- Participate in IT projects, migrations, and implementations for client systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- Certifications: Current Microsoft certification (MCSA, MCSE, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) or equivalent. Additional VMware or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years of IT support/administration experience, preferably in an MSP or multi-client environment.
- Strong expertise in: Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2019/2022, Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing/switching fundamentals, firewalls), Backup and recovery solutions (on-premises and cloud-based), Proficiency with VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure (deployment, management, troubleshooting).
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, patching, endpoint protection, and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and documentation skills.
- Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with RMM/PSA tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Datto etc.).
- Scripting/automation knowledge (PowerShell).
- Prior experience mentoring junior staff or leading small projects.
Benefits include 401(k) with employer matching, 75% Medical coverage for Employee, PTO, and paid holidays off. Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year.
