The Human Resources Generalist (exempt) will be responsible for hiring a diverse pool of top talent, building and sustaining solid relationships with hiring managers, and fulfilling all talent acquisition needs by managing the full cycle recruiting process in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Recruitment & Onboarding - 40% Recruit to meet hiring demand for field operations and office staff, utilizing effective search strategies and screening techniques. Develop and update position descriptions and specifications. Ensure all required documentation is completed including hiring requests, applications, references, background/drug screens/MVR, etc. using Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Stay current on market trends, diversity recruiting, and proactively identify current and future talent needs. Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers and directors. Attend and participate in career fairs, networking events, and other recruiting activities. Manage onboarding process utilizing HR software. Conduct all new hire orientations to ensure each employee has knowledge of company organization, processes, and benefits. Provide feedback to leadership on retention and turnover metrics, using reporting features within ATS. Organize and prepare office space for new hires. Training & Education - 30%

Assist with the company-wide training program - coordinating, scheduling, tracking. Manage Apprenticeship program in conjunction with DPOR. Train hiring managers in recruitment and HR onboarding processes. Employee Engagement - 20%

Manage uniform program. Manage and track Employee Referral Bonus program. Assist in the coordination of company events - organizing, planning, and attending. Maintain and update company intranet. Social Media - 10%

Consistently develop approved social media posts. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles. Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other systems. Ability to pass pre-employment background/drug screening. Must possess Valid Virginia Driver's License with clean driving history. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Some travel required. Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience required. At least 2 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred. Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
