Position Purpose

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness & hygiene in various environments, including production areas, warehouse & offices.

Major Functional Responsibilities

Perform cleaning and sanitation of food processing rooms using equipment in a thorough & safe manner.

Daily duties include but are not limited to cleaning, sanitizing surfaces & sanitizing processing equipment in production, such as machinery, tables, sheet pans, racks, scoops, etc., sweeping, mopping, breaking down boxes, picking up cardboard/debris/meat scraps, emptying & preparing trash bins, and cleaning trash areas, etc.

Launder items as required.

Pulls pallets and cleans product bays on rotating basis.

Operate industrial cleaning & sanitation systems/equipment and cleaning chemicals as trained and specified.

Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas as required.

Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and common areas.

May clean other areas of the facility to include offices, break rooms, restrooms, test kitchens, warehouse, etc.

Adhere to all company SOPs, GMPs, USDA or FDA, SQF procedures, etc. and work consistently with all food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.

Ensure accurate record keeping/documents of performed sanitation duties according to company and regulatory requirements, and able to meet minimum production sanitation requirements efficiently & accurately.

Communicate with Quality Control Supervisor regarding any out of compliance/questionable sanitation conditions.

Perform all other duties as assigned that are necessary, required or directed by management.

Schedule: Mon thru Thurs 1:00pm to 10:00pm, Fridays 1:00pm to 7:30pm

Required Qualifications:

Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Work Experience: 1 - 3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably food handling or processing

Required Qualifications:

• Familiarity or experience in SQF facility preferred

• Willing to perform all tasks when and were assigned and as changing situations arise.

• Ability to understand to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

• Ability to perform repeated tasks with attention to detail.

• Ability to perform basic math skills

• Maintain professional, positive attitude and good work ethics
