Apple is seeking a QA Engineer to help ensure that our products, like Siri, exceed our customer expectations. Think beyond what features are supposed to do and creatively seek ways to measure the qualitative experiences. The Siri quality team relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering, Program management, and Quality Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for shipping world-class user experiences and act as the voice of our end-users. You will join a dynamic quality engineering team responsible for Apple's latest products to ensure magnificent access using wireless technology that drive an outstanding user experience and delight our users. In this position, you will need to be self-motivated with strong technical and interpersonal skills. Day-to-day tasks will involve hands-on adversarial testing of iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, and HomePodOS. In addition to manual testing, responsibilities will include design and implementation of test plans and test cases, risk analysis, customer impact analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system. Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of experience working as a Software QA engineer in the wireless domain Familiarity with 802.11 WLAN/WiFi (a, b, g, n, ac, ax, be), and/or Bluetooth, and/or Networking protocols basics (TCP/IP, UDP..) Experience in creating lab setups to capture performance metrics, debug performance issues, and drive optimizations across the software stack. Write Python automation using an internally developed and proprietary automatic framework BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience Preferred Qualifications
Academic knowledge of ML/NLP tools Ability to quickly prototype ideas / solutions, perform critical analysis, and use creative approaches for solving complex problems Ability to investigate, debug and triage using host plus sniffer logs and independently work towards results Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
