Overview

Position Summary: Commercial Millwork Project Manager We are seeking an experienced and highly organized

Commercial Millwork Project Manager

to oversee all phases of millwork projects from estimation to final installation. This role requires strong knowledge of custom millwork fabrication, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and schedule. Responsibilities

Project Oversight Manage commercial millwork projects from award through completion.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.

Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, drafting, production, installation).

Client & Vendor Communication Act as primary point of contact for clients, architects, general contractors, and vendors.

Lead project meetings, site visits, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Design & Engineering Coordination Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness.

Work closely with the design/drafting team to ensure designs meet project and code requirements.

Procurement & Logistics Source and order necessary materials, hardware, and specialty items.

Coordinate deliveries, lead times, and installation schedules.

Quality & Compliance Ensure projects adhere to quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.

Perform field checks and punch lists to verify quality of workmanship and completion.

Qualifications

Experience Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial millwork or architectural woodwork project management.

Familiarity with AWI standards and millwork manufacturing processes.

Skills Strong project management and time management skills.

Proficient in reading blueprints, construction documents, and shop drawings.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Tools Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Project).

Experience with AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, or similar drafting/estimating software is a plus.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred.

Equivalent experience will be considered.
