Vice President of Field Service & Operations
to lead and scale their multi-state field operations team from the ground up. Compensation: $180K–$225K base, based on experience ~20% bonus based on KPI's 401(k) with 6% match (no vesting schedule) Health insurance (with dependent coverage; dental/vision to come in 2026) Flexible PTO for salaried employees Car allowance + phone allowance Equity Relocation package available A Day in the Life of the VP of Field Service & Operations You’ll be responsible for leading, mentoring, and scaling a field service and operations team that is critical to delivering MeterNet’s core services. From managing technicians and coordinators to expanding into new geographies, you’ll be the driving force behind operational excellence, field team growth, and customer satisfaction across multiple states. You’ll work closely with Sales and Client Services leadership to build a truly collaborative and efficient service delivery engine. Responsibilities include: Lead and scale a multi-state field service team (technicians, project coordinators, warehouse staff) Structure and formalize KPIs, processes, and operational standards across all service locations Mentor and develop team leads and emerging managers into high-performing leaders Drive hiring, training, and onboarding strategies for rapid team expansion Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Client Services, and HR to align operations with company growth goals Ensure operational consistency, field staff engagement, and customer satisfaction as the business scales Lead new market launches, setting up teams, infrastructure, and processes in additional states Optimize workflows, improve service efficiency, and oversee quality control metrics Requirements and Qualifications: 5+ years of field operations experience, including 3+ in a leadership role Proven success scaling field teams to 50+ across multiple states Hands-on leadership style with experience in building, mentoring, and retaining team members Demonstrated success in launching new territories with strong retention (80%+) and KPI performance Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environments with a builder mindset Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, able to build bridges between departments Ability to mentor technical experts into confident, people-first leaders Must be willing to work on-site in Fallbrook, CA, and travel as needed About the Hiring Company: Our client is a utility sub-metering and billing company that serves multi-family communities across California, Texas, and Washington, with more expansion ahead.
