Your Role As a Senior Business Analyst, you play a crucial role in ensuring that email campaigns meet business objectives, consumer needs, and technical requirements. You bridge the gap between business stakeholders and development teams. You know how to gather requirements, communicate clearly, create detailed and accurate documentation, and participate in quality assurance testing to ensure solutions meet business needs. Ideally, you have experience with email development projects, collaborating with creative and technical teams, partnering with project and account managers, and identifying potential risks ahead of time. You’re creative, solution-oriented, organized, collaborative and have exceptional people skills.

Your Responsibilities

Requirement gathering: Collect and document business requirements from stakeholders.

Collect technical requirements: Identify integration with CRM, personalization needs, tracking, and automation.

Documentation: Create detailed, accurate documents including Adobe email campaign specifications, seed lists, and test scenarios required for each email campaign. Develop business logic related to audience segmentation and data needs for dynamic email content.

Testing and validation: Assist in agency quality testing to ensure solutions meet business needs and align with specifications. Validate business logic and liaise with partner email deployment vendors as needed.

Process Mapping and Analysis: Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the existing workflow; propose improved processes for email development.

Mitigate Risks: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve issues; escalate as necessary to protect client expectations and internal capabilities.

Meeting Leadership: Lead effective meetings through preparation, clear direction, and detailed agendas.

Process and Quality: Champion agency processes and quality work.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

5-8 years of project management experience

Agency experience preferred

Email and direct mail experience required

Database and customer segmentation experience required

Data file layout and data feed knowledge and experience required

Email marketing platform experience preferred (segmentation, automation, personalization)

Email testing experience required

Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

Proven track record in people collaboration and issue resolution

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Power BI) and Adobe Workfront or similar project management software

Technical aptitude/understanding of HTML development and testing

Support operation and development groups by following departmental policies and procedures; accurately complete timesheets

Strong written and verbal communication skills; empathy and active listening; time management; organization; attention to detail

Our Hybrid Work Model RAPP's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. There is an option to work from home two days per week, if desired.

Compensation and Benefits RAPP provides a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits plan. Benefits for this role include health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), stock options, Flexible Spending Accounts, vacation, sick, and personal days, and parental leave. A reasonable salary range for this role in Detroit is $74,000 - $90,000, with compensation determined by skill set, experience, and qualifications. This is an exempt position.
