We're looking for a Workplace Safety & Security Manager who's calm under pressure, big on accountability, and deeply committed to keeping our people and spaces safe. From our offices to our annual conference, you'll build and own the programs that protect our teams and develop a secure, welcoming environment wherever work happens. In this role, you'll handle day-to-day security operations, own emergency planning, and drive our workplace health and safety strategy. You'll partner closely with teams across the company - from IT to People - and bring a thoughtful, tech-forward approach to everything from incident response to physical access systems.
This is a full time role that is based in our SF Hub.
What you'll do at Figma:
Lead physical security and safety operations across all locations, ensuring consistent protocols, systems, and vendor oversight Lead all security contractors, including staffing, training, and performance management Own emergency operations planning (EOPs), including fire safety, evacuation, lockdown, and crisis response Be responsible for workplace health & safety programs, including compliance, ergonomics, first aid/CPR, and incident response Serve as the primary liaison with internal teams and external agencies (law enforcement, emergency services, regulators) Plan and execute operations for the annual company conference, including risk mitigation and medical response Implement and manage technologies (e.g., access control, surveillance, monitoring) Deliver training and ensure documentation, reporting, and follow-up for all safety and security incidents Requirements:
7+ years of experience in physical security, health & safety, operations, or emergency planning Experience managing vendors, contractors, and systems across multiple office locations Strong working knowledge of health & safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, local codes) and emergency protocols Ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks, from workplace safety to emergency preparedness High integrity, discretion and good judgment in high-stakes or sensitive situations Nice to Have:
Familiarity with security tools (e.g., Lenel, Brivo, Verkada) and safety platforms Experience supporting large-scale events from a safety/security perspective Certifications such as CPP, PSP, OSHA 30, CEM, or EMT At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location.
