role at
DoorDash .
About The Team New Verticals is an exciting team at DoorDash that is building and scaling new ways to delight our customers, leveraging the DoorDash platform. New Verticals include the DashMart, Convenience, Alcohol, Grocery, and Retail businesses. Our Catalog, Fulfillment and Logistics pod focuses on enabling the operations behind each delivery and we are looking to expand our Logistics function.
The Role The New Verticals Logistics team is focused on driving down costs and identifying efficiencies while improving quality and reliability across our same-day delivery platform. Our mission is to build the most dependable logistics network in the world and empower local businesses to thrive.
We are hiring two Senior Associates to join our Logistics pod and lead critical initiatives across the Dasher and Shopper experience. In this role, you'll own projects spanning the full lifecycle — from acquisition to onboarding to supply-demand balancing all while driving high-quality, accurate, and fast order fulfillment. Your work will influence operational processes, product features, education, and more, with a direct impact on Dashers, Shoppers, Merchants, and Consumers. You will work across other teams within Strategy & Operations, Product, Engineering and so many more. You will report into a Senior Manager and be an individual contributor.
You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…
Build.
You’ll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash’s next big business. You’ll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to nitty-gritty operational details.
Strategize.
From first principles, you’ll develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers.
Experiment.
You’ll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes.
Analyze.
You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and iterate quickly based on data.
Collaborate.
You’ll work with a cross-functional team, including marketing, finance, legal, support, design, product, data science, engineering, and operations to build this new line of business for DoorDash.
We're Excited About You Because…
You are a self-starter – You have a bias towards action and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
You work well cross-functionally – You have experience managing multiple different stakeholders and business partners, and are able to exert influence across organizations to achieve business outcomes
You are a problem solver – You can independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans
You are gritty – You roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make things successful
You are analytical – You let data win arguments, and you’re comfortable pulling your own data in SQL and modeling in Excel.
You are relentless and hungry to learn – You do what it takes to win, no matter what.
You have 2-4+ years of experience - preferably in strategy & operations, consulting, investment banking, tech, etc.
