The candidate will be a contributor on the ServiceNow Product Team within the broader Enterprise Technology Solutions department to support planning, execute, and operate ServiceNow and other enterprise technologies. The ServiceNow team is looking for someone who can pitch in through all phases of the Technology Delivery process, but to primarily focus on supporting data related activities. The Software Engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders throughout the enterprise through education of platform development best practice. The Software Engineer must have a background in development, system administration, data analysis, and can help others to contribute to platform improvements. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Perform data management activities which includes analyses of data and system configurations, and data monitoring Perform data clean up activities which includes data import, direct data changes, and data normalization Embraces and advocates for Agile best practices for software development Support daily stand-ups, facilitate story grooming, coordinate sprint demos, planning and retrospectives Support implementing and manage monitoring technologies for software, server, and network platforms Assist production support and development staff in debugging application defects Drives continuous improvement efforts by identifying and championing practical means of reducing time to market while maintaining high quality Lead/facilitate technology improvements while partnering with business stakeholders to achieve expected outcomes Assists by providing advice on system functionality and fixes as required Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and information radiation Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Qualifications: [Required] 5+ years of working experience in IT [Required] 4+ years of experience in implementing and managing ServiceNow (ITSM, ITOM, HAM, SAM, SecOps and/or GRC/IRM modules ) or similar platforms [Required] 3+ years performing data management activities [Required] Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and IT systems design [Preferred] 3+ years of experience with Javascript or other scripting language [Preferred] Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON [Preferred] Ability to write clean, bug-free code that is easy to understand and easily maintainable Strong understanding of CMDB and CSDM 4.0+ Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Agile/Scrum, and DevSecOps methodologies Technical Skills: Problem-solving skills and solution-oriented attitude. Using analysis and critical thinking skills to determine and assess the needs of the user and then create software to meet the requirements. Providing clear instructions to the project team, clearly explaining how the software works to the customer and being available to answer any questions that may arise using exceptional communication skills. Working well with others on the team using effective interpersonal skills. Being able to efficiently identify and resolve issues that arise during the design, testing and maintenance processes using problem-solving skills. Education and/or Experience: [Required] BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience 5-7 years of experience of development and/or system administration. 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining cloud platform technologies.
