The
Director of Career and Training Services
(internally known as Director of Mission Programming) oversees the operational program budget and personnel functions of Mission Services, including the Training Academy and Career Services. This role ensures quality service delivery, adherence to standard operating procedures, and alignment with the overall Mission Services strategy. The director provides leadership, coordinates training programs across multiple sites, and expands program capacity through external partnerships within the Southern Nevada region. Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the Training Academy and Career Services departments to meet KPIs related to career development, outcomes, and accountability. Develop and implement programs to enhance customer experience and partner with leadership to build cohesive training initiatives. Foster staff development through regular meetings, growth opportunities, and training programs. Design training approaches to support skill acquisition, competencies, and customer service excellence. Utilize data analytics to improve organizational effectiveness and ensure customer satisfaction. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize mission delivery and organizational strategies. Develop service objectives and budgets aligned with organizational mission, vision, and values. Monitor industry trends, community needs, and market changes; share insights with the team. Ensure accurate data collection for grant reporting and strategic decision-making. Manage funding use and compliance, and support fundraising efforts with regular updates. Create new training opportunities based on research and community needs, and build employer relationships for placement opportunities. Establish regional partnerships with nonprofits, community organizations, and employers to promote social mobility. Conduct quality checks on programs, monitor metrics, and ensure compliance with SOPs and accreditation standards. Lead change management initiatives to facilitate smooth transitions and maintain team morale. Physical and Environmental Factors
Lift/carry up to 25 pounds. 90% office environment, 5% community, 5% outside driving. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience with government workforce development grants. Report creation and grant outcome tracking skills. At least three years supervisory experience. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Knowledge of Las Vegas labor market, human services, and disability issues. Proficiency in Salesforce, Paycom, Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications
Five+ years in employment or career counseling, especially with diverse populations or veterans. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Additional Details
