Position overview: The Program Manager III leads cross-functional programs focused on cloud supply chain, data center resource management, and fleet optimization. You will work with the physical supply chain, data center planning and software engineering teams to design, deploy and manage systems that optimize Google’s fleet of shared compute and storage resources. Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of projects related to fleet efficiency, resource allocation, reverse supply chain, and other fleet priorities. Translate new supply chain capabilities into cost reduction initiatives or user-facing feature improvements. Manage the business logic used to process forecasts, aligning internal needs with efficiency goals. Manage on-time delivery and inventory levels of shared fleet quota resources; partner with customers to understand provisioning needs and patterns of resource returns. Collaborate with product development to create next-generation resource distribution systems and optimization models. Incorporate customer and data center constraints into fleet automation; lead new feature launches and communicate with user community and partners. Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program or project management. Experience in data center fleet management or data center resource management. Preferred qualifications

5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience with scripting and business tool development using SQL or Python. Experience working with a Software Engineering team to diagnose and resolve systemic issues. Excellent influencing skills with the ability to deliver solutions in a changing environment. The Central Fleet Technical Program Management Team provisions fleet compute and storage resources to Google’s resource managers while managing cost, health and lifecycle of the fleet. The team leverages resource abstraction systems to optimize inventory and fleet operations, partnering with stakeholders to influence fleet composition and design. As a Program Manager, you will lead cross-functional programs to solve cloud computing problems and drive modern operations management. You will work with Google’s physical supply chain, data center planning, and software engineering teams to design, deploy, and manage systems that optimize Google’s fleet of shared resources. Compensation: The US base salary range for this full-time role is $147,000-$216,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation varies by role, level, location, and may include other factors.
