Overview
Position: Flex Agent – Residential Security Agent - Experience Required Location: San Francisco, CA Employment type: On Call/As Needed (potential to develop into a full-time offer; not guaranteed) Responsibilities
Ensure the overall safety and security of designated principals and their properties. Maintain knowledge of baseline principal, property, and neighborhood activities. Monitor property and area activities and conditions via closed-circuit television and perimeter checks. Monitor traditional and social media for potential threats. Control access to properties and maintain security logs for guests, service personnel, and vendors. Drive or tail principal/family members/guests as needed. Conduct advance work as needed. Screen and track mail and deliveries. Monitor weather, natural disasters, traffic, public safety incidents and trends, neighborhood watch programs, and current events. Coordinate with site staff to accomplish common tasks. Complete daily household tasks and maintenance as requested by principals. Ensure 24/7 operational readiness through stocking supplies and equipment upkeep. Operate within standard operating procedures and applicable laws. Coordinate with and support executive protection elements of the team. Opportunities for driving and special off-site assignments/details. Demonstrate proficiency in use and maintenance of equipment (vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, etc.). Travel locally up to 5%–10% of the time to other sites or principal destinations. Flexibility for overtime shifts, including night or day shifts, early arrivals, and late stays. Multitask in a fast-paced environment and remain vigilant while seated for extended periods. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with security technology, smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps (Google Drive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene. Respond to team needs via phone, text, and email; be an effective communicator with clients, superiors, peers, vendors, and neighbors. Qualifications
2-4+ years of combined experience in relevant security, military, and/or law enforcement positions. Valid Driver’s License. First Aid/CPR/AED certification for Adult, Child & Infant. Current California BSIS Guard Card. Current California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit with 9mm endorsement (needed for some accounts). Physical Requirements
Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly. Physically able to detain individuals if necessary. Prolonged sitting (5+ hours) at a desk monitoring surveillance equipment. Prolonged standing (4–5+ hours). Lift up to 50 pounds; lift/draw a person up to 200+ pounds if necessary. Bend, twist, stoop, crawl; respond to physical attacks, evacuations, and disasters. Required Skills and Traits
Team-oriented with strong emotional intelligence. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong situational awareness and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize for long durations. High proficiency with firearms (for armed positions). Strong critical thinking and sound judgment. Professional, friendly demeanor and high ethical standards. Desirable Experience
Residential and/or fixed-site security experience. Experience with protective intelligence tools and defensive tactics; training in surveillance detection and basic medical support. Residential security or executive protection training or school attendance (e.g., EP programs). Active First Responder, EMT or paramedic certifications. Experience working with children; outdoors enthusiast (biking, hiking, water activities). Valid California or HR 218 concealed weapons permit (where applicable). Other Details
Shift length: 12–12.25 hours; day and night shifts; weekends; holidays. Domestic/local travel as desired by principal. Salary: $600.13/day (based on $36.37/hour); overtime paid per hours worked and state law. Employment with Keelson Strategic is at-will.
