Position Overview:
FGS, LLC is seeking a highly qualified Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) in Suitland, MD. The ISSO will provide cybersecurity compliance and support for a unique mission software capability provided to the Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Risk Management Framework (RMF), experience with both Windows and Linux systems, and the ability to collaborate across technical and management teams.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation (e.g., SSPs, POA&Ms, RARs, Continuous Monitoring Strategy)
Participate in change management and A&A meetings
Support and maintain current A&A packages in compliance with RMF, DIACAP, and DCID 6/9
Conduct and review vulnerability assessments using ACAS, Retina, WASSP, SECSCN, and other tools, then provide guidance to systems administrators for remediation
Respond to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) and review system logs
Conduct regular security scans and maintain associated records
Analyze security posture of software, hardware, and network systems
Provide recommendations for mitigation strategies and continuous improvements
Work with system owners and stakeholders to manage cybersecurity requirements
Monitor and evaluate HBSS activity and audit logs for anomalous behavior
Perform and document security testing, impact assessments, and configuration reviews
Develop SOPs, design documents, and system specifications
Position may also respond to customer inquiries and assist organizations with their user accounts and perform ISSM review of data files being transferred between networks.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Active TS/SCI security clearance
High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
Minimum 10 years of systems administration and cybersecurity experience (Windows and Linux)
Current DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent), higher level certifications are preferred
Strong understanding of RMF, NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, DIACAP, ACAS, HBSS, eMASS, and VRAM
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to operate independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within the Intelligence Community or military environments
Active Windows and/or Linux certifications
Familiarity with Remedy or other incident management software
Willingness to provide general operational support beyond ISSO duties as needed
