Overview
EPC Services Company, a leading power/utility engineering consultant and construction firm, has immediate openings for full-time Senior Project Managers in our Denver, CO office. Consideration for a remote-work arrangement will be based on a candidate's level of industry experience in Project Management. This position is a senior professional project management role for individuals with advanced skills related to the strategic planning and management of the construction for electrical power, communications, and industrial facilities, including civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines. A senior project manager provides insight and counsel on high-level business management decisions and leads Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) turnkey projects. The Senior Project Manager is an essential leadership role in the organization, responsible for program management for large clients, general project management, project financials, bidding, safety, field support, general administration, and training/mentoring of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers. The role typically reports to the Branch Manager, but may report to the General Manager, Vice President, or President directly depending on the client and project. Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers may be assigned to work with a Senior Project Manager depending on program or project requirements. Occasional travel may be required for monitoring and control of construction projects. Responsibilities
Provide leadership and management for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction turnkey projects (EPC). Manage programs for large clients and oversee general project management activities. Oversee project financials, bidding, safety, field support, and administrative tasks. Train and mentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers. Collaborate with senior leadership on high-level business management decisions. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Construction Management. Minimum of 10 years of project management experience with complex projects in transmission line or substation construction, or a combination of education and experience related to high-voltage electrical systems; prior experience in electrical design of substations/switchyards is a plus. Excellent organizational skills and effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, formatting, shortcuts, navigation); Vista (Viewpoint) software experience is a plus. Ability to pass all company and client-mandated drug and background checks. Occasional travel/driving may be required and subject to EPC Services' auto insurance carrier requirements.
