About The Job Full-time medical geneticist to provide services in clinical genetics and inborn errors of metabolism.

The qualified candidate will provide care for children and adults with genetic conditions and inborn errors of metabolism in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Opportunities exist for clinical teaching of medical students and residents, as well as clinical research.

Position is for a full-time Assistant Professor on the tenure track.

Qualifications Medical geneticist with ABMG active candidate status or certification as a clinical geneticist and/or clinical biochemical geneticist. Candidates must be active in maintenance of certification.

About The Department The Division of Genetics and Metabolism offers a diverse environment for genetic services. As the largest center for inborn errors of metabolism in the upper Midwest, we have a robust long-term follow-up program for children identified through expanded newborn screening.

The Department of Pediatrics is a large academic department with over 100 full-time faculty, ranking in the top 10 nationally in NIH funding. Care is provided at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.

Pay And Benefits Pay Range: $155,000, depending on education/qualifications/experience.

Time Appointment: 75%-100% Appointment.

Position Type: Faculty and P&A Staff.
