DevOps Software Engineer

Red Arch Solutions is hiring a DevOps Software Engineer for our program in Annapolis Junction, MD. The DevOps Software Engineer shall be part of a team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a comprehensive distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of HPC infrastructure. Position Required Skills: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity OR Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Experience using the Linux CLI Experience using Linux tools and developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes Recent software development experience using Python Willingness to learn Splunk for data collection, message brokers, data storage, and presentation tools Familiar interfacing with Log Management tools including Syslog-ng and rsyslog Familiar Message Brokers such as Kafka Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI Experience with Git Source Control System Position Desired Skills: Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence) Experience with Elasticsearch Salary range for this position: $160,000-185,000
