Overview

Development of PLC programs for complex controls systems. On-site in Lynchburg, Virginia. Your Day to Day as an Electrical Controls Engineer 4

Develop and review design and functional specifications. Develop test plans. Commission complex motion-based control systems. Perform and document control systems testing. Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and implement solutions. Analyze plant processes for improvement and optimization. Required Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and 10 years of experience is required. Other undergraduate degrees may be considered if technical/engineering content is merited. Moderate knowledge of PLC, HMI and Controls Programming (Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.). Motion-based programming (Rockwell/Allen Bradley). Must have 10 years' experience (minimum). Working knowledge of Electric Codes, NFPA 70E and 79 and 29 CFR 1910 OSHA Standards. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to motivate others to succeed. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. U.S. citizenship required (no dual citizenship). Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) "L" clearance. Works independently and with minimal guidance in most situations, interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices or solutions. Qualifications
