This posting establishes a pool of teaching specialists or lecturers who will be selected on an as-needed basis. Applied Lessons:
Teach graduate and/or undergraduate students in applied lessons such as violin, piano, percussion, viola, clarinet, etc.
Or
Academic Courses:
Teach graduate and/or undergraduate students in various music academic courses.
Hold office hours to assist and advise students. Participate in relevant departmental meetings and/or other services. Teaching may be for day, evening, or summer session courses. These positions are contingent upon student enrollment, performance, and availability of funding. Positions are appointed during the 2025 - 2026 year (Fall, Spring and/or Summer). Interested candidates are welcome to apply and the pool of candidates will be reviewed should openings occur. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, performer’s certificate or substantial documented professional achievement in a relevant field. Demonstrated teaching experience in a specified field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or earned doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in a relevant field by date of appointment. Teaching experience at the college level in relevant area of discipline, evidence of interest and success in teaching. Performance experience with a nationally known ensemble is preferred for positions teaching individual instrumental lessons. About The Department

Pay Range:
$100 - $150 per hour (9754i applied lessons) or $2000 - $3000 per credit (9753i coursework); depending on education/qualifications/experience. How To Apply
