We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer. You will be responsible for designing and developing electronics hardware circuits, including analog, digital, mixed signal (ADCs/DACs), and power supply designs for airworthy/certified electronic engine control and monitoring systems. You may be involved at various stages of the project, from initial concept to testing, manufacturing, and implementation. You will work in project teams and may travel up to 20% between Rolls-Royce sites and up to 15% for other travel.
The Electronics Development Team focuses on designing the next-generation Aero Engine Control System, aiming for efficiency, diagnostics, and cyber threat protection, serving a range of gas turbine engines.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing remote and in-office days. All hybrid employees must have a secure, high-speed internet connection and a suitable workspace.

Responsibilities
Conceptualize, design, and execute electronics circuits for control and monitoring systems.
Create schematics and support PCB layout.
Perform trade studies, tolerance analyses, and simulations.
Conduct worst-case circuit calculations and FMEA analysis.
Develop electrical hardware in the lab through testing and diagnostics.
Document functional descriptions and testing results for certification.
Qualifications Basic:
Bachelor's in Electronics/Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or
Master’s or PhD in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred:
5+ years in circuit design.
Experience with NPI, schematic tools (Allegro-Cadence/Altium).
Expertise in root cause analysis, power converters, EMI reduction.
Ability to translate high-level requirements into validated designs.
