We are looking for a strategic communications professional with a passion for storytelling and proven experience supporting C-suite executives. The ideal candidate excels at creating compelling narratives, bringing rigorous attention to detail, and building strong relationships across teams. In this role, you will partner closely with PR, internal communications, social, content, and brand marketing to create, distribute, amplify, and measure executive communications, making them inspiring, modern, and deeply connected to target audiences.
This position will serve as a trusted communications partner and storyteller, focused primarily on ServiceNow’s President and Chief Financial Officer. In collaboration with executive communications and the broader integrated team, this role will lead external visibility programs, social strategies, and thought leadership content while maintaining alignment with internal communications. The role will also contribute to M&A communications and support broader visibility programs where appropriate.
Responsibilities
Build and lead an external communications framework for the CFO, ensuring alignment with PR, internal, and employee-facing messaging, while creating and updating materials that reflect evolving business priorities. Identify and secure high-profile speaking opportunities, pitch event organizers, and develop compelling messaging for external events. Prepare the CFO for key engagements through scripts, rehearsals, and briefing materials. Deliver high-quality executive-level content such as speeches, blogs, and social media. Play a key role in ServiceNow’s annual Financial Analyst Day, partnering with business stakeholders on CFO-related messaging and deliverables. Provide support for external visibility and communications needs of other senior executives on a selective basis, as aligned with corporate priorities. Content Development & Program Management
Develop narratives and storytelling concepts that elevate the CFO’s profile and reinforce ServiceNow’s leadership. Partner with agencies and cross-functional teams to support CFO visibility, corporate strategy/M&A communications, and analyst relations. Establish clear processes to ensure timely execution and governance of content. Track and report on the success of executive visibility efforts with measurable outcomes. Collaboration & Alignment
Partner closely with internal communications colleagues on town halls, org-wide updates, and Global Leadership Team support, while maintaining clear swim lanes. Advise and support Finance leaders on external communication needs, ensuring message alignment and integration of social activations into broader plans. Serve as a resource across the communications team to maintain consistent messaging for employees, customers, and partners. Collaborate with PR and corporate communications teams on enterprise-wide storytelling initiatives as bandwidth allows. Requirements
Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. 8–10 years corporate communications, public relations, or executive communications experience (technology, financial services, or analyst-facing communications preferred). Experience building and executing executive visibility and communications strategies. Exceptional messaging and writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables. Experience crafting executive-level thought leadership and social strategies aligned to external visibility programs. Strong relationships with, or ability to cultivate relationships with, top-tier event organizers. Experience working with senior executives, including C-level leaders. Ability to manage through ambiguity with maturity and sound judgment. Must be a self-starter with an ability to think creatively and execute with precision. Experience working in a matrixed environment, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Proven ability to manage multiple communication projects simultaneously with structured work-back plans tied to measurable goals and business outcomes. Experience in a hypergrowth tech company is a plus. Financial acumen or background supporting finance or strategy leaders strongly preferred. Flexibility to contribute to broader executive communications priorities beyond the CFO, including M&A and corporate strategy initiatives. BS/BA degree required.
