Summary

Mission Technologies is seeking a Network Administrator to support the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN), a system that provides distributed modeling and simulation capabilities across the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE). This position operates within the technical footprint of the Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC), ensuring secure and reliable network infrastructure in support of mission-critical naval training systems. The Network Administrator will manage server and workstation configurations, apply cybersecurity compliance measures, and resolve technical issues alongside a supportive team. Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows servers and workstations across enterprise environments Configure and manage Active Directory, GPOs, and DHCP reservations Apply operating system patches and enforce DoD STIG compliance standards Monitor and support Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and Virtual Private Network (VPN) performance Configure and maintain network hardware such as routers, firewalls, multiplexers, bridges, hubs, and gateways Create and maintain accurate documentation for network configurations and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Provide Tier 2-level technical support for software, hardware, and connectivity issues Assist with hardware/software upgrades, system planning, and coordination with vendors Collaborate with internal teams and departments to support operational continuity Train junior personnel and contribute to internal knowledge sharing Requirements

Must meet one of the following: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience Master’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree in a related field (no experience required) High school diploma or equivalent and 9+ years of relevant experience Technical Skills: Experience administering Windows Server 2016/2019, including Active Directory Knowledge of Windows Software Update Services (WSUS) or System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Familiarity with Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline (SHB) configuration Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions 7 or 8 STIG implementation and patching of Microsoft servers and workstations VMware virtualization and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies Proficiency with network monitoring and performance analysis tools Strong troubleshooting abilities across diverse IT systems Ability to interpret technical documentation and resolve multi-system issues Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering quality customer service Clearance & Certification Requirements
