Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Factory Controller, the Sr. Cost Analyst plays a vital role in developing standard cost and maintaining in SAP as well as conducting financial and operational analyses related to material spend, inventory levels utilization/manufacturing variances, Gross Margin, EBITDA, and other pertinent financial metrics. This position will be completely onsite at our Bohemia, NY factory location. Responsibilities:
Act as a Business partner for the factory management of a manufacturing site, providing support on all financial matters and participating in the Local Leadership Team Ensure proper execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and prepare standard and non-standard journal entries in accordance with Nestle Accounting Standards Independently handle yearly cost planning (Annual Cost Estimate), monthly reporting, variance analysis and forecasting (Year End Estimate) for the site as well as planning and calculating production costs, transfer price revisions, and maintaining master data Provide analytics to evaluate variances to standard. Provide explanations to the key drivers along with recommendations to improve costs. Communicate cost risks and opportunities to leadership Proactively manage emerging risks and opportunities in cooperation with factory management Prepare cost studies and profitability analyses for investment decisions and special evaluations (e.g., benchmarks) Adhere to factory costing processes with Nestle Costing Standards Drive process optimization towards more digitalization and simplification, supporting the factory in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), NCE (Nestle's Continuous Improvement program), and Lean Manufacturing initiatives Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Accounting or comparable area of study 3+ years of experience in Cost Accounting budgeting experience strongly preferred Strong Excel modeling and analytical skills Must be proficient with Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Power Point, etc. Prior experience with ERP systems a plus Skills:
Strong ability to interpret data, identify and communicate potential opportunities and risks Strong interpersonal skills and capability to contribute to a fast-paced team environment Effective communication and ability to influence others to get results or develop solutions Excellent organization and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit professionalism Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the organization as well as independently Ability to maintain effectiveness during major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures Continuously seek ways to improve processes, while maintaining high quality standards Is creative and intellectually curious; tries different and novel ways to solve obstacles The approximate pay range for this position is $95,000- $105,000 base.
