ABOUT THE ROLE The

Associate Product Designer

will support the creation of innovative and brand-right designs that reflect Shinola's heritage and aesthetic. Working closely with the Design Director and team, the Associate Designer will contribute to creative concepts, assist in product development, and ensure design accuracy. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented designer who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience across multiple design disciplines.

RESPONSIBILITIES Support creation of product and watch designs aligned with Shinola's aesthetic and brand heritage. Research trends, cultural influences, and competitive products to inform design direction. Generate sketches, 2D renderings, and support seasonal design presentations. Assist with color, material, and finish selections for seasonal collections. Build accurate tech packs for review and handoff to Product Development. Support technical development and cross-functional collaboration to ensure quality standards are met. Participate in design and project update meetings, tracking timelines and deliverables. Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, creative studio environment. QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field. 0-2 years of design experience. Strong creative skills with an eye for detail and design accuracy. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Exposure to 3D software (SolidWorks, Alias) and rendering tools (Keyshot) a plus. Strong sketching and visualization skills. Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a growing design team.
